2.1 Services
Thistle Travel Solutions provides private hire and airport transfer services operating in Edinburgh and surrounding areas.
2.2 Bookings, Payments & Confirmation
All bookings must be made in advance through our website or authorised channels.
Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure and confirm the reservation.
We accept online card payments and PayPal.
Upon successful payment, an email confirmation will be sent to the customer containing full booking details.
Customers are responsible for reviewing confirmation details and notifying us promptly of any errors.
2.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. Thistle Travel Solutions does not store or process card details directly. Limited transaction information is retained solely for booking administration, accounting, and customer support.
2.4 Airport Waiting Time
A 45-minute free waiting period applies after the confirmed flight landing time for airport pickups.
Waiting time exceeding 45 minutes will be charged at £20 per hour, calculated on a pro-rata basis.
2.5 Customer Responsibilities
Customers must ensure:
Accurate pickup, drop-off, and flight information is provided
Passengers arrive promptly at the agreed pickup location
Any delays, additional charges, or service issues resulting from inaccurate information remain the customer’s responsibility.
2.6 No-Show Policy
Failure to attend the agreed pickup location at the scheduled time will be treated as a no-show, and no refunds will be issued.
2.7 Cancellations
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time are free of charge.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time are non-refundable.
2.8 Soiling Charge Policy
To maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety standards:
A £100 soiling charge will apply where a vehicle requires specialist cleaning due to excessive mess, including (but not limited to) vomit, food spills, drink spills, mud, or bodily fluids.
The charge will be applied at the discretion of Thistle Travel Solutions where cleaning beyond normal valeting is required.
This charge reflects loss of vehicle availability and professional cleaning costs.
2.9 Liability
Thistle Travel Solutions accepts no responsibility for lost, stolen, or damaged items left in the vehicle.
Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings at all times.
We shall not be liable for delays, missed connections, or service failure caused by traffic, weather conditions, accidents, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
2.10 Passenger Conduct
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service where passenger behaviour is unsafe, abusive, illegal, or likely to cause damage to the vehicle. No refund will be issued in such circumstances.
